I became interested in photography during my senior year of college. I had always enjoyed casually taking photos but had never thought much about it beyond "point-and-shoot." I purchased a Canon Powershot camera about a year after graduating and began experimenting with different modes, types of shots, and editing in Photoshop. I have learned much of what I know from trial and error.
I am now using a Nikon D60, a wonderful Christmas present from my wonderful boyfriend. I am enjoying learning to use a more sophisticated camera and I love the quality photographs I can produce. I hope you do too. In the future, after finishing my Master's Degree, I would love to take classes in photography.
I love taking scenic photos of natural landscapes. I love shooting the ocean and enjoy visiting Cape Cod. Many of my seascape images are from the Cape. I enjoy experimenting with macro mode and taking close-ups of objects such as seashells or flowers. My two favorite models, Tessie and Skippy the mutts, have given me plenty of opportunity with shooting pet portraiture as well.
